Executive Committee | Bylaws | Committees | Student Subunits Michelle Workman, President CONTACT: (209) 334-2968 ext. 404 Phone BIOGRAPHY: Michelle received her Bachelor of Science (1991) and Master of Science (1999) Degrees in Biological Sciences (Biological Conservation) from California State University, Sacramento. She has 15 years of experience as a Fisheries Biologist on the lower Mokelumne River designing and leading the adult and juvenile salmonid migration monitoring programs, and conducting fish community monitoring, spawning gravel restoration and acoustic telemetry studies. Michelle recently began working for the US Fish and Wildlife Service as a Habitat Restoration Coordinator responsible for Merced and Tuolumne River restoration projects. Michelle represents the USFWS on the San Joaquin River Restoration Program Fish Management Work Group, and the Genetics subgroup for the SJRRP. Michelle has presented numerous oral and poster presentations for a variety of audiences including AFS, Salmonid Restoration Federation, CALFED Science Conference, as well as school groups, stakeholder groups and interagency committees. She has been member of the Cal-Neva Chapter of AFS since the early 90's. |
