Finance Committee:
The purpose of the Finance Committee is to assist the Executive Committee and especially
the treasurer with respect to financial matters including contributions, investments,
and the Chapter budget. The Finance Committee also is responsible for the design and
maintenance of this web site. The Finance Committee welcomes the participation of
interested Chapter members.
International Committee: The
mission of the International Committee of the California-Nevada Chapter of the American
Fisheries Society shall be to encourage and support personal communication and exchange of
fisheries-related technical information between California-Nevada and Mexico Chapter
members, promote the joint conservation and sustainability of transboundary inland and
marine fisheries resources of California and Mexico; support collaborative fisheries
research activities between Californian and Mexican scientists; and participate in
international activities of the AFS International Fisheries Section and the WDAFS
Mexican Fisheries Committee.
Bylaws and Nominations:
Submits a slate of candidates for the Chapter officer positions of President-elect,
Treasurer and Secretary. The committee also periodically reviews the Chapter's bylaws
and presents any proposed amendments to the membership for approval.
